DESCRIPTION:\nThe speaker will be  \n  \nKarla Kirk \nVice President \nPolitical and Corporate Finance  \n  \nAssociation for  \nAdvanced Life Underwriting \n(AALU)   \n  \n          Karla Kirk is currently Vice President, Political and Corporate Finance at the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting in Washington, DC. In this role she manages the Legislative Circle and Issue Alliance Donor Programs. \n  \n          Prior to AALU, Karla spent five years as Senator Kent Conrad's National Finance Director. In her role as Finance Director, Karla was an integral part of Senator Conrad's senior re-election team. \n  \n          Before joining Senator Conrad, Karla served as the Director of the Chairman's Council of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). As Chairman's Council Director, she worked closely with Congressman John Dingell and DCCC Chairman Congressman Martin Frost as well as many other Members of Congress. Karla left the DCCC with Congressman Frost in 1998 to join his reelection team. In total, Karla has over fifteen years of political and campaign experience. \n  \n          A native Texan, Karla graduated from Texas A&M University, where she received her B.A. in Political Science. \n
